The BCS final that no one wants to watch. We have had a very anti-climatic bowl season this year. No drama. My friend Blaise said it best, "College football has the best regular and the worst post-season out of all major sports." Not until they have a playoff will anything be decided on the field. College football is a lot like ice skating in the Olympics: Everyone watching knows who is the best, however, they leave it up to a few bald men and women to eventually tell us. Naturally with bias, money, and timely bodyguards hanging over their heads, they always seem to pick the "wrong" winner.
And so we have College Football as we know it. Everyone knows that USC and Georgia are the two best teams this year but somehow, someway we end up with LSU-Ohio State.
So who's the best out of those two teams? Who really cares because neither one has the BEST team. I think LSU will win only because Ohio State is horrible. They lost to the only "good" team they played this year in Illinois who we watched get clearly outmatched by USC on January 1st.
Will this game get good ratings? Probably because many people are like me: We either watch the football game or reruns of Project Runway. Take your pick.....
Ironically, I believe that Tim Gund had and will have a say in both outcomes.
Prediction: LSU 32 Ohio St. 17........and the only straight guy on Project Runway will win as well.

Osu is looing like the team of last year. Some early scoring then a complete shut down. I bet OSU fans are starting to feel like Hillary Clinton (early lead completed evaporated) perhaps it is time to cry.
Well, 38-24 final score. Not too shabby. Not my final prediction but close enough. As predicted, the Big Ten once again laid a goose egg in a BCS game. That's zero wins and nine losses now for Ohio State in a bowl game against an SEC team.
A majority of ESPN analysts were predicting an OSU win. They should be looking for jobs tomorrow morning but of course their predictions will be tucked away never to be heard from again.

Dro, if Miles and Crowton had sat on it on that last LSU possession when they got it down to the six with first and goal with 1:50 to go, the final score would have been 31-17, one point off your prediction. That's pretty impressive. Regardless, you got the margin almost right on. The game went just about exactly as I imagined it would.
By the way, regardless of what happened last night, USC and Georgia both probably would beat LSU right now. What a great system we have! I'm still going to write that letter to the SEC complaining of the way the conference champion is determined.
Good thing you added that whole project runway plug at the end there. You almost lost me as a blog checker.
